I have this very big need to educate people - to tell them about things they don’t know.
Somehow, I think this is helpful. If people know more, the world will be a better place.
But it doesn’t always work that way. The things people know can make them flip and flop, and the world can get worse as well as better.
That is the power of story. More often than not, stories can transform people. Stories give people a hook to anchor themselves to something new and make it their own by reflection, connection, insight.
That is the power of art. Art is a frame around what the artist observes and that frame is a window to look through to other worlds.
Education for humanism and a culture of peace requires stories and art. In stories and art we find the truth living in the hearts of people.
